Juddering at high speed results from an imbalance between aerodynamic lift and arm pressure:

Insufficient arm pressure: Aged springs reduce downward force, allowing wind to lift the blade. Test with a spring gauge – replace the whole arm assembly if below spec.

Hardened or twisted rubber: Old rubber loses flexibility to conform to glass curvature. Replace with OEM-quality or high-grade silicone blades.

Uneven glass coating: Inconsistent hydrophobic treatments cause friction variation. Remove all coatings and reapply uniformly.

Oversized blade length: Longer blades catch more wind, increasing judder risk. Stick to OEM length (±5mm).

Loose arm pivot nut: Check torque (typically 25 N·m) and retighten.
