Noise usually comes from the installation angle or glass condition, not defective blades:

Wiper arm twist angle misaligned: The blade must sit perpendicular to the glass. If the arm spring or holder is bent, the rubber edge hits at a sharp/obtuse angle. Fix: Gently twist the middle section of the arm with pliers until the rubber sits at 90°±2° to the glass.

Oil film or wax on the windshield: New rubber is sensitive to contamination. Clean with a glass polishing compound or fine abrasive powder, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol.

Dry wiping or insufficient fluid: Always spray washer fluid before wiping – dry friction causes noise.

Break-in period: Some silicone/natural rubber blades need 5–10 wipes to settle. If noise persists, check arm spring pressure (standard: 1.5–2.5 N/cm).
